What types of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, money orders, Visa or Mastercard, and energy drafts for payment on account. Payments may be processed over the phone; a $3 convenience fee applies for this service, however.
What is the minimum order for a delivery?
Propane ~ 200 gallons
Heating Oil ~ 150 gallons
How long will it take to get my delivery?
Please allow 3-5 business days for delivery.
Can I receive the delivery the same day?
Yes, you can; a $75 Trip Charge will apply.
What will happen if my propane tank runs out?
If a tank loses pressure due to the tank running empty, a $35 pressure test is necessary. The driver will need to enter the home to light the pilots; therefore, someone over 18 years of age must be available to let him in the residence.
Does Cass City Oil charge a tank rent?
If a customer does not use at least one tank full of propane each year, a $150 tank rent charge will apply.
Are other fees incurred at the time of delivery?
No. The quoted price per gallon is the price that will be billed. We do not add fees such as, hazmat fees, fuel surcharges, enrollment fees, etc.
When is payment due?
With approved credit, invoices for residential deliveries are due 30 days from the date of the invoice. Customers who do not have credit approval will be required to pay for the delivery before it is received.
Does CCOG have payment plans?
Yes. We offer a budget program, which runs from July thru May. Anticipated fuel usage is split into 11 monthly payments. The deadline for budget enrollment is September 30th.
What is pre-buy and how do I enroll?
Pre-buy is a program where customers can purchase a set number of gallons of propane for the next heating season. The minimum purchase is 800 gallons. All the gallons are purchased up-front, and no payment program is available for this. Pre-buy enrollment begins after July 4th and is open until the last Friday in August. Please contact our office for further information.
Do you repair furnaces?
No we do not; however, we will recommend local heating contractors for your maintenance needs.
Do you deliver to customer-owned tanks?
No. Per our insurance company’s request, Cass City Oil & Gas does not service customer-owned tanks.
How can I establish an account?
Just fill out a credit application and turn it into the office in order to establish an account.
What is the cost to set a tank?
When we switch out another company’s tank with one of ours, no fees are applicable. The customer will only be charged for the propane in the tank.
For a new tank set, customers are responsible for the mechanical permit fee, which differs by county. The customer is allowed up to 25 feet of copper and trenching at no charge. Anything over 25 feet will incur an extra charge. The customer is also responsible for the cost of the propane in the tank.
